George Driscoll, 79, passed away on February 5th in Rotonda, West Florida, after months of failing health. He was born in Tewksbury, Mass, and lived the majority of his life in Wayland, Mass. He served 9 years in the Mass National Gaurd. He joined the Wayland Police Department in 1959 and retired in 1998. George married Marjorie (Saviano) in 1961, and raised their family in Wayland. They retired to Onset Massachusetts, and enjoyed living their Cape Cod lifestyle. They were “Snow Birds” for many years, enjoying the best of both the Cape, and Florida. George was an avid golfer and reader. Survivors include his dedicated wife Marge, two sons, Ted Driscoll of Redwood City, California, his wife Kristin, and Wayne Driscoll of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania. George also leaves behind 5 beautiful grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday February 14 at 9:00 A.M. from the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Patrick Church Natick. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in George’s memory to Tidewell Hospice, 12034 N Access Rd. Port Charlotte, Fl 33981.
